The dog days are over...

Happiness hit her like a train on a track

Coming towards her stuck still no turning back
She hid around corners and she hid under beds

She killed it with kisses and from it she fled
With every bubble she sank with her drink
And washed it away down the kitchen sink

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You cant carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come

And I never wanted anything from you
Except everything you had and what was left after that too, oh
Happiness hit her like a bullet in the head
Struck from a great height by someone who should know better than that

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your loving, your loving behind
You cant carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run

My Priorities...

So when I went to Seoul on my important mission - (Greek Visa retrieval) this was the content of my bag:

Sunglasses, CHECK.
Wallet, CHECK.
Camera, CHECK.
Lipgloss, CHECK.
Two different notebooks, one lined, one unlined - (they are different), CHECK.
Pencil, CHECK.
Thick Fine Liner Pen, CHECK.
Cellphone, MISSING.

Conclusion: If strange outer-galactic beings came down from space and surprised me whilst threatening to blow up all of humanity, I would have no possible way of calling for re-inforcement backup. The whole world would die because I left my cellphone at home.

If I had to fight the aliens on my own, at least I could draw the shit out of them.

Double check your bag before you leave the house ;)

Pretty as a Rose

Pretty roses, taken in South Africa in the gorgeous sun with my vintage style Lomography camera - Diana F+. We all went out for the day to Nottingham Road and had a delicious cheese and wine lunch. yum yum!

Pack yourself a picnic and head to someplace sunny and gorgeous. If it's raining where you are, then have a picnic next to the fireplace with some hot-chocolate and lots of blankets!

My Day

I really love the style and humour of Hyperbole and a Half. A few days ago I had a super stressful  day with SO much to do before noon! I spent SO much time waiting for the bus that I began thinking of it as a Hyperbole and a Half cartoon. It made the waiting and (extreme time-wasting) more entertaining. Here is my version:

Wow. what a nightmare of a day. I'm glad it's over!

Draw your day! Don't worry about the pictures, make it crazy, make it fun.

Laura's lovely invitations

Finally finished Laura's wedding shower invitations - Here is Kristi and I on the way to deliver one to Laura.

The printed invites.

We wrapped Laura's invitation in organza with a peacock feather.

Me being crazy... and also I love the sun!

Hoo's getting married?

So this is what I have been working on with my owl image. It's an invitation to my friend Laura's bridal shower. She loves owls and also the fabric designer Amy Butler. We bought some Amy Butler fabric for the table cloths and I designed some invitations using her fabric as inspiration in three different colours. Laura loved them! Yay! Pictures of the shower to follow!

Happy birthday to my MOMMY!

Happy birthday to my mommy! These are my presents for her... wrapped and given with love.

Letter to a friend...

My friend Kristi is so lovely - she bought me back the most gorgeous dress and goodie bag full of treats from China. I had to make a card for her to say thank you! This is it:
